Deniz, recently working in in Sydney, has completed initial track selection and mixing on a large number of recently found studio and live Radio Birdman tapes from the years 1976-77. He will be working with RB manager John Needham over the next few weeks on assembling material for a deluxe box set. Go to deniztek.blogspot.com for an indepth report. Deniz will appear as a special guest on Ron Sanchez' radio program on Fri May 7th. There will be surprises. The show starts at 3pm (GMT -7) and can be heard live on kglt.net and will be archived on the Career Records site Radio Page.

Deniz will be playing a few selected shows in the USA this summer. Venues will include the Continental Club in Houston (date TBC) backed by members of the band Clouseau who Deniz has recorded with. In Detroit, the show is booked at Paycheck's Lounge (7/24/10), with Al King and Chris Taylor from Powertrane providing the rhythmic engine. The Dogs and The Howling Diablos are the support acts.. Other dates to be announced. Meanwhile work on the new solo album will resume now that Deniz is back in Montana.

The Soul Movers will be on tour in Spain in September. Dates to be announced. The Australian band has recorded four new songs. At least a couple of these are earmarked for a tour ep. The Soul Movers played a free in-store at Mojo's Music last Saturday. Andy Newman and Derek from Decline Of The Reptiles provided the backing. The full band play again next weekend.

The Soul Movers will be playing two shows the last weekend in March. A third show has now been added. Mojo's Music in Sydney will be hosting a free 3pm afternoon appearance. These will be the only three Australian shows this year.

The Deniz Tek Group is back in the studio. Deniz has begun recording material for the follow up to Equinox with the same musicians that performed as the Soul Movers on their US dates. Australian fans will know bassist Bob Brown from the Vertical Tour. Multi instrumentalist, Steve Brown is handling the drum chores. Ron Sanchez, on loan from Donovan's Brain, will reprise his role as keyboard player. Two songs were tracked and overdubbed in January and February in Billings. Work is expected to continue when Deniz returns from Australia at the end of April. Meanwhile Deniz and Ron have recorded two short instrumentals for the ski films posted at BridgerBowl.com
