Vivien Johnson’s biography from 1990 is an authoritative source on all things Radio Birdman. Largely made up of quotes from band members, Johnson (sociologist and friend of the band) occasionally interjects with her own anthropological musings. Definitely worth a read for the history of the band, some inspiring anecdotes (such as Tek’s encounter with the Rolling Stones) and for a sense of the underground music scene in 1970s Sydney.
